We use a very systematic approach to helping improve your process. DMAIC is an acronym used in Lean & Six Sigma that stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. We incorporate this method into the project charter that we build side by side with you to tackle your pain points that we uncover during our interview.
All processes have a way of evolving over time due to the changing requirements of customers as well as improvement initiatives. Our 8 Waste Audit is a way of seeking out and identifying opportunities for improvement. Our approach is to walk your process and create a detailed report of opportunities for you to review for future improvement initiatives.
We've all heard the saying "a place for everything, and everything in it's place." 5S is the mechanism for actually making this statement sustainable. We will work with your teams to Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain in order to reduce wasted time and motion trying to find what they need to perform their tasks. With some simple visual indicators you will be able to quickly tell when something is out of place.
This is the foundation for understanding your key processes in order to set the road map for what you want to improve. This is the As-Is process flow that can be used to determine where waste lies in your process. Value Stream Maps are a strategic tool used at the start of your Lean journey
The Detailed Process Map is used to identify all the steps of each process down to a micro level. This information is then used to identify which steps in each process bring value to the product being produced. We will then work with your teams to eliminate steps that don't bring value.
We have many tools to help you identify trends in your data to help get to root cause quickly. We can also help you create data collection plans if you are not currently tracking the data you need to make informed decisions. Our aim is to help you turn your data into actionable intelligence to run your business.
